Our Origin Story

Time Study was founded in 2018 by Kishau Rogers, a computer scientist and award-winning technology entrepreneur. The idea originated as a prototype project in her innovation studio, Websmith Inc., where teams built enterprise software for complex organizations. The concept took shape while working with a large hospital, where time studies relied on manual, recall-based reporting spread across spreadsheets and data silos.

The company was launched to reimagine how time studies are conducted, moving beyond recall-based reporting to automatically capture real signals of how time is spent. Since its launch, Time Study has grown into a leading enterprise platform for time studies, trusted by top organizations across the United States. Headquartered in Richmond, Virginia, with distributed teams in the Northeast, Midwest, and West Coast, the company remains focused on helping complex organizations understand time without disrupting the people doing the work.
